BUZZ RECORDS is a small independent label focusing on alternative (alt.) roots music. That means blues, country, folk or cajun-based music that has an insurgent twist and an original angle, dragging old-time sounds kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

The company was formed in 1993 to release Devil & the Freightman –  the debut CD album from award-winning Scottish blues band Summerfield Blues. That release was followed by an EP from The Cottonfield – Another Time.

The current Buzz roster features Radiotones, Tim Elliott & the Troublemakers, Dave Arcari and Tenesee Kait - a rock band being developed until a suitable label can be found. Buzz also represents US label Fish Tail Records.
