Tenesee Kait - biography

Having impressed crowds with across Scotland with their unique brand of alternative rock, Tenesee Kait have started to cause a rumble throughout England with a series of blistering live sets at Hartlepool's Studio, Liverpool's world-famous Cavern Club, Fibbers in York and many more on their first headline tour of the UK.

Two development CDs on Buzz Records - Cherries and Vaseline Smile - have helped secure the band radio airplay across the UK including Radio 1 (Session in Scotland and Jo Whiley Show) and BBC Radio Scotland.

Tenesee Kait recently appeared live on Lanarkshire TV and have played showcases for Northern Exposure (Scotland's annual music industry convention) as well as being chosen as support for Fifth Amendment's last Scottish tour. Other support slots have put Tenesee Kait onstage alongside Biffy Clyro and Annie Christian.

The band was also chosen from dozens of hopefuls to appear at a Nordoff-Robbins showcase at the Hard Rock Cafe, Edinburgh and more recently won recording time and a slot ona forthcoming DVD as a result of a showcase gig for Bandstand 2003 – an initiative to highlight the best up-and-coming Scottish talent.
