The List October 2003 ( UK) Radiotones– Bound to Ride Exactly whether or not Perth's Radiotones should still be referring to themselves as 'alt.blues terrorists' is a matter of debate - just nobody tell Tony (Blair), eh? While not exactly terrifying, thought, there is something a bit surly about them. Maybe that's got a lot to do with Dave Arcari's file-throated Captain Beefheart-style vocals, or it could just be the barnstorming, chucking-out time stomp they create. Imagine the wedding band if your family are all alcoholics. Devil Got my Woman, She's Gone and a version of Frankie Miller's One More Heartbreak are all testament to how well-honed, yet consciously ramshackle, they are. David Pollock
