Blues Matters March 2001 ( UK) Radiotones– Whiskey’d Up Moody acoustic slide and gruff vocals. It’s kind of the blues meets The Pogues and Preacher Boy…and where’s the bloody bottle, I need a drink! The music is good, very good once you get used to it as it is so different. There’s some super-duper National Steel slide ‘n’harp here in great doses, light on the ear but heavy on intensity and great urges to tap your feet (and take a swig here and there). Loved ‘Cool It". Liked the lyric: "…small things you been thinking add up to so much more…" from No More Mr Nice Guy. Must get to see these guys live. Ponch
